Izabela is a Ballroom Examiner for the American International Dancers Association, with Fellowship certificates in International Ballroom, Latin, American Rhythm, and Smooth styles. She is also a World Dance Council adjudicator. She has served on the judges’ panel of such prestigious competitions as the WDC Amateur League World Championship in Paris, France, and the WDC Amateur League “Freedom Dance Cup” in Radom, Poland. She fell in love with dancing at age 7, and is a longtime ballroom teacher, competitor and choreographer. A native of Poland, she represented that country with her former partner in competitions in Europe, Asia and the United States. They were finalists in Standard and 10-dance Polish Championships, and won almost every U.S. Professional Rising Star title. Izabela has been a dance studio co-owner, a designer of women’s dance fashions, and independent instructor in the Ann Arbor, Michigan, area. She has been rewarded with a large number of students in the region and is devoted to helping each dancer achieve his or her goals. Her teaching style focuses on technique and its nuances. She also recognizes how important it is for students to learn and understand body mechanics. She brings her knowledge gained from her long studies in yoga and anatomy to develop her students’ awareness of balance, strength, and flexibility.
